South Bay Small Batch

The medium amber color of this 80 proof rum is delightful. Initial aromas of creme brûlée, ripe banana, muscovado, baking spices and bread pudding lead to a note of old oak above creamy vanilla, port wine and sherry. On the palate, buttery apple pie with butter pecan ice cream is accented by dried fruit and baking spices for a rich mouthfeel. In mid-palate a hint of nuttiness appears before a late warming sensation with notes of dark cacao, drying out in the end with lingering echoes of rancio wood, similar to a cognac profile.
