Nine Leaves Clear 2013

RumXP Award Winner. A fascinating cane spirit from Japan at 50 percent, this rum leads with aromas of cane wine, then hints of champagne and fermented pineapple, then a hint of vanilla. On the palate we experience straight ahead delicate cane with a hint of sweetness, smooth building of heat, fading to an aftertaste of champagne and a hint of over-ripe pineapple, remaining very true to the cane.
