Bristol Rockley 1986

Rockley Pot Still. Distilled 1986, bottled 2012 at 46 percent. Aromas of musty gym socks, a hint of salt, charcoal and leather, walnut shell, dried prune and apricot, dark raisin, figs, dates, root cellar, rancio, pistachio, soft rubber. The palate starts honeyed, leads into dark dried fruit and leather, nuts and burnt wood, cacao. The super-long complex, balanced finish offers echoes of charred wood and prune.
