Aged in oak for twelve years before a second aging in sherry barrel, Diplomatico 2002 Single Vintage is a limited edition aged rum from Venezuela. Aromas of vanilla and almond lead to well balanced caramel and dark dried fruit before aromatic oak, cigar box, musk and raisin. On the palate, initial flavors of caramel, vanilla and oak are enhanced by complex dark fruit, spices and hints of tobacco.
