Mezan Guyana 2005
- Rich aromas of ripe fruit, funky banana, dried pineapple, buttered popcorn. The robust fermentation and a rustic distillation leaves big bold aromas in the distillate, suggesting fermented juice box, cherry almond, big funky shoe leather. The natural sweetness from the aromas isn't there on the palate. It's semi-dry thoughout. The entry of dry floral almond and perfume leads to muted dried fruit like dehydrated banana and pineapple, which remain in the long smooth surprisingly dry finish.
